Meet the Designer
My collections have evolved over the 19 years that I have been designing jewelry. As the scope of my personal travels have widened, so too have my choices for both materials and ideas. The element of weight is important to me, both in substance and in theory. The idea that a well made piece might become an heirloom is where I begin. I view my designs as a passionate collaboration of brilliant craftsmanship and my interpretation of the beauty in the stunning region of Indonesia. This culture’s transformative spiritual underpinnings stir and fascinate me. Bali is a place unlike any other, where every flower is seen as a gift, as is every smile from the heart. These elements of body, harmony and balance are tangible in each piece I create.

Music and culture energize and inspire my designs, keeping my pieces cutting edge while the serenity of nature is mirrored by the grounded elements inherent in more classic designs. Every piece is entirely made by hand in Bali, where both time and care are showered upon the production of my line, in the old Balinese tradition of jewelry-making. Some craftsmen weave the chains by hand with fine gauge wires; while others create a texture using a technique is known as “granulation” whereby molten silver is dropped dot by dot onto a plain surface. By holding any piece from our various collections, you can feel the luscious qualities of both silky smooth and intricate textures in the metals. I inspire a wealth of personal glamour by using sterling silver as well as 18 karat gold to stage precious and semi-precious sparkling gems.
